Support that fits real life
What daily living support can include
Daily living support is different for every person. We begin by understanding what you want to do independently, where you would like assistance and what a good day looks like for you. Together, we agree on practical support that respects your privacy and keeps you in control.
Personal activities
Respectful assistance with personal routines, dressing, grooming and other approved daily activities, delivered at your pace.
Household tasks
Support with meal preparation, laundry, light household tasks and routines that help make home life manageable.
Building independence
Encouragement to practise skills, make choices and take an active role in everyday tasks wherever possible.
Consistent routines
Clear support arrangements shaped around your preferred times, communication style and established routines.
Personal support with dignity and choice
We listen before providing support. You can tell us how you prefer tasks to be completed, who you are comfortable involving and anything that helps you feel safe and respected. Support is reviewed with you so it can adapt as your confidence, circumstances or goals change.
Where a task requires a skill, risk assessment or arrangement outside our current capacity, we will explain that clearly and discuss appropriate next steps rather than make promises we cannot safely keep.
Shared living and Supported Independent Living
Citywide Home Care is registered for daily tasks in shared living and Supported Independent Living. These supports can help with routines, household responsibilities, community connection and building skills for greater independence.
Availability, staffing and suitability are discussed individually. We take time to understand the participant’s goals, living arrangements and approved NDIS plan before confirming what support can be offered. Read our detailed Supported Independent Living guide.
